Sixteen of the Law Society of Scotland's committees are currently advertising for new members, both solicitors and non-solicitors.

One convener post is vacant, for the Professional Conduct Subcommittee, which also requires solicitor and non-solicitor members.

Including both regulatory and specialist legal committees, the full list of committees comprises: Access to Justice Committee; Admissions Subcommittee; Competition Law Subcommittee; Complaints Subcommittee; Consumer Law Subcommittee; Education & Training (Standard Setting) Subcommittee; Guarantee Fund/Client Protection Subcommittee; In-house Lawyers' Committee; Insurance Committee; Intellectual Property Subcommittee; Obligations Law Subcommittee; Professional Conduct Subcommittee; Professional Conduct Subcommittee; Public Policy Committee; Registered Paralegal Committee; Rules, Waivers & Guidance Subcommittee; Rural Affairs Subcommittee.

The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Friday 23 June.
