From 30 June the Child Maintenance Service introduced an application fee of £20, followed last month by the collect and pay service which will see the CMS retain 4% of the maintenance designed to support the child.
Practitioners may have to be less sanguine in leaving parties to resort to the CMS where an agreement cannot be reached.
