We are encouraging our members to reply to the Registers of Scotland – 'Digital Transformation: Next Steps' consultation which closes in just over two weeks on 22 February 2017.

The consultation focuses on Registers of Scotland’s proposals to introduce new digital services to the Land Register. It will also consider some consequential changes to the land registration application form to support digital submission.

Registers of Scotland are currently piloting a system for digital discharges and are proposing to introduce digital standard securities and dispositions in the near future.

The Society will be responding to the consultation on behalf of our members. However, as these proposals will have an impact on how conveyancing and land registration is dealt with in practice, we would encourage you to submit your own response to the consultation so that Registers of Scotland receive a wide range of the views from the profession.
