Join Monica Connolly and Ross Mitchell from Brodies for an update on contract case law at our January networking event. 

Monica and Ross will discuss recent judicial interpretation and purpose of clauses such as:

  • notice clauses
  • variation clauses
  • limitation of liability clauses
  • penalty clauses

The seminar will be interactive with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion.

  • Monica Connolly - Associate, Brodies

    Monica joined the Business Disputes and Asset Recovery team after completing her traineeship at Brodies. She has experience of a wide range of actions in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session and now specialises in commercial litigation.

    She advises clients on a variety of commercial disputes, including those involving contracts, property, debt recovery, insolvency and professional negligence.

    Clients appreciate the real commercial insight she has gained from previous experience in the firm's Corporate and Property departments.

    Ross Mitchell – Senior Solicitor, Brodies

    Ross is a solicitor in the Business Disputes and Asset Recovery Team and specialises in commercial litigation.

    He works for banks, financial institutions, utility companies, companies and individuals. Ross has experience in both pursuing and defending claims for the recovery of debts, assets and other properties.  He has also worked on secondment in-house for a large global bank, where he dealt with a variety of disputes.

    Ross regularly appears in court in a variety of contentious hearings but also can provide practical solutions to client’s problems where possible.
