Join Alistair Sloan of Inksters for a presentation on preparing for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Individuals have a fundamental right to privacy and data protection. On 25 May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will become applicable in the United Kingdom and will, along with a new Data Protection Act, replace the current data protection framework governing how individuals’ personal data is processed. Significant regulatory change can have a large impact upon any organisation, especially small organisations. This presentation will provide an introductory overview to the new data protection framework and how it is an evolution rather than a revolution in the way individuals’ personal data is processed; it will also give some guidance on being ready for GDPR with a focus on smaller law firms.
