The President of the Law Society of Scotland alongside special invited guests will be coming to meet with you.
Alison Atack, along with Law Society colleague Katie McKenna are coming to see you. We will also be joined by special guests: Chris Kerr, Registers of Scotland and Glen Dott from Scottish Enterprise.
This meeting will provide an opportunity to find out more about the Law Society’s key areas of work and will cover the legal services review, Lawscot Wellbeing, legal aid, and the profile of the profession research amongst other topics.
Our invited guests will provide an update on their respective areas. Chris will provide an update on registrations and Glen will provide a helpful introduction to employee owned business structures. Most importantly, there will be the opportunity for you to ask questions or discuss issues affecting you and your business or organisation during the Q&A session.

Katie McKenna, Head of High Street Member Engagement
Katie joined the Law Society of Scotland as the Head of High Street Member Engagement in January 2018. Her role involves working with, supporting and representing sole practitioners and high street firms across Scotland. Katie is also the main point of contact and support for the local faculty network. Katie is also the project lead for Lawscot Wellbeing. Katie is a solicitor who trained at McClure Naismith in 2008. Following her traineeship, she spent some time working in-house and went on to gain years of experience working with high street firms and local faculties during her time with the referral networks operated by Harper Macleod LLP and Digby Brown LLP.
Katie is a council member of the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow, enjoys yoga and is currently studying Spanish at the University of Strathclyde.
