This half day event focuses on writing strategies for effective court interpretation, and gives you the opportunity to receive feedback on your own drafting whilst looking at what works and what can go wrong.
Drafting is a much-overlooked skill in legal practice. Far too often we go for something that is lengthy and complex rather than straightforward and succinct. Given that information, clearly expressed, can play a key role in influencing outcomes, good drafting is something that we ought to prioritise.
Why should I attend?
- Learn strategies for writing in a clear and concise manner
- Receive valuable feedback on a sample of your own writing
- Discuss the ways in which the court interprets written documents and how best to persuade them
