Working as a lawyer in London can be particularly demanding. The opportunities available are unique, but is there support available to help you handle the pressure?
Workplaces might think they know what their employees want when it comes to wellbeing, but do they? Do you feel supported in your mental health by your employer? If so, what are they getting right? If not, how would you recommend they improve?
On 29 October we will host a Lawscot Wellbeing roundtable to be facilitated by Chetna Bhatt from Being Lawyers and Kayleigh Leonie from LawCare. They will guide participants to think about their 'ideal' workplace setting in terms of its structure, benefits and working patterns, then reflect on how legal employers of different types can move closer to this ideal scenario by making changes, big and small.
This event is about how to enable positive change and recommend improvements for employers, however we won’t be expecting participants to share detailed information referring to specific firms, businesses or individuals. The event will bring together solicitors representing different sections of the profession in London, all with a Scottish connection and we would be delighted to see you there.
Roundtable participants will remain anonymous and after the event, we will publish any key recommendations for employers in an 'open letter' through our Law Society of Scotland communication channels.
RSVP by Friday 18 October by emailing Fraser Hudghton [email protected]
