John Mulholland will be visiting Kilmarnock on Wednesday,13 November joined by Council members Waqqas Ashraf and Louisa Doole, and Law Society colleagues Paul Mosson, Katie McKenna and Beth Anderson.

This meeting will provide an opportunity to find out more about the Law Society’s key areas of work and will cover the legal services review, Lawscot Wellbeing, legal aid, and the profile of the profession research amongst other topics. Our invited guests will provide a short update on their respective areas.

Most importantly, there will be the opportunity for you to ask questions or discuss issues affecting you and your business or organisation during the Q&A session. Should you have any issues you wish to raise in advance of the meeting please email [email protected].

    John Mulholland

    John Mulholland is a criminal law consultant at Falkirk-based Marshall Wilson Law Group and joined the Law Society of Scotland council in 2012, representing constituents in Alloa, Falkirk, Linlithgow and Stirling.

    John is Chair of the Board and sits on the Appeals and Reviews Subcommittee. He is the former convener of both the Nominations committee and the Finance Committee and is the former Treasurer.  

    Glen is Employee Ownership Specialist Adviser at Co-operative Development Scotland, the arm of Scotland’s enterprise agencies that supports company growth through collaborative and employee ownership business models.

    Glen has been involved in the employee ownership for over 10 years across Scotland. He has worked with over 400 companies, varying in size from 5 to 500 employees and across different sectors, advising on ownership succession options and diverse models of employee ownership.  This includes providing advice on the structuring, governance and funding of employee owned businesses.

    Mairead Rowan is the Workplace Officer for the See Me Workplace programme. See Me is Scotland's national programme to end mental health stigma and discrimination.  Mairead joined See Me in May 2018 and her role is to support organisations engaging in the See Me in Work programme to develop inclusive working environments free of stigma and discrimination. In addition to a keen interest in mental health, Mairead has a background in Health Improvement.
