Join us this summer in Glasgow for key legal updates, strategic insight and practical debate facilitated by leading in-house counsel. In the year that the world’s attention turns to the UN Climate Change Conference COP 26 in Glasgow, our one-day conference focusing on sustainability will bring together in-house solicitors, from the public, corporate and third sectors.
As organisations across the world increasingly commit to incorporating environmental, social and ethical factors into strategic decision-making, in-house counsel play a vital role in delivering the ‘sustainability double bottom line’: positive social impact and operational security.
Not only will we equip you with knowledge on the in-house lawyer’s role in analysing the threats associated with the climate emergency and organisations’ wider ethical responsibilities, we will also explore the persuasive need to focus on sustainability in the context of legal operations, wellbeing and in-house leadership roles.
The varied programme for 2020 reflects the diverse legal and practical issues currently facing in-house legal teams in leading organisations as a catalyst for change. The lunch break will include optional ‘knowledge café’ sessions: facilitated roundtable discussions on a wide range of topics. Connect with your peers to share experiences, generate new ideas and tackle issues relevant to your in-house practice.
