CPD for in-house lawyers – Privilege
“I’ve a legal privilege issue…get me out of here now!”
There have been lots of decisions recently on fundamental questions about legal privilege, culminating in the recent decision in SFO v ENRC. Some have been conflicting, some have been appealed, and some have been just downright difficult to follow. For the busy in-house lawyer, it is hard to keep track, let alone to know what now amounts to best practice.
During this practical one hour seminar, Graeme MacLeod, Partner in the Disputes team at CMS, will provide a quick refresher on legal privilege and bring you up to date on the most recent cases. Above all, he will focus on the practical steps in-house lawyers can take so that claims their organisations make for legal privilege have the best chance of success.
By attending, you’ll:
- get a refresher on the doctrine of privilege
- learn from recent case law
- get practical tips on how to manage the risks of keeping and losing privilege
- have your questions on privilege answered
This is a free event available exclusively to in-house lawyers and is suitable for anyone who has an interest in the subject. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
