  • 09:45 - 10:20

    • Understand the impact of our circle of concern on our day-to-day performance
    • Awareness around what makes us ‘who we are’
    • The impact of ‘self-talk’ and how we need to manage this if we want to develop our resilience

The session will explore the links between our circle of concern and our circle of control, and compare and contrast the two.

What makes us who we are and the impact of feedback we receive from others will be illustrated with real life examples.

Finally, the session will explore the impact of ‘self-talk’ or as we describe it the ‘parrot’ on our shoulders and why we need to ‘shut it up’.

  • 10:20 - 11:00

    • Greater awareness around the typical hurdles and challenges that trigger our self-doubt and negative feelings
    • What attributes to resilient people have
    • How we often deny ourselves permission

Through group work, the session will identify the typical hurdles and challenges that trigger our self-doubt and worries.

It will then explore and bring to life the attributes that resilient people typically have and discuss how these attributes can build resilience and self-confidence.

The group will then be introduced to the four different permission levels and how we often make assumptions about these thereby impacting our self-confidence.

  • 11:00 - 11:15

  • 11:15 - 11:35

    • Greater personal awareness of when you’re being triggered and your self-doubt is impacting your performance/ day-to-day work.
    • Understanding of how your self-doubt impacts both your physical being and your thought processes.

The session involves working in pairs or small groups to explore how self doubt and worries impacts the individual at both a physical and mental level.

To be better able to manage self-doubt and worries we need to first be consciously aware that it’s having an impact and catch it early.

  • 11:35 - 12:20

    • How to better handle difficult situations or scenarios
    • Share strategies that build resilience and self-confidence
    • Examine the four key vulnerability factors that we can choose to better manage on a day-to-day basis
    • Consider the impact of our ego on our self-belief and resilience

The session involves working in groups to explore how the language we use to describe ourselves and situations impacts thought process and performance.

It then moves to the impact of ‘echo chambers’ and how association with different groups of people can impact  thought processes and beliefs.

Thereafter, we examine the four key vulnerability factors, which if managed well, can improve resilience, self-esteem and self-belief.

Finally, the impact of egos will be examined and why we all need to learn to ‘laugh at ourselves’ more.

  • Participants raise final points and develop an action plan to implement the workshop learning in their own setting

  • 12:25 - 12:30
