Has your firm changed the types of civil law it covers? How does your firm use new methods of communication? What could make it easier to deliver civil legal aid?
These are just some of the areas the Scottish Legal Aid Board is keen to explore with civil legal aid solicitors over the next couple of months.
Research company Progressive Partnership will undertake this work on behalf of SLAB.
During November and December they will be inviting a selection of solicitors who are registered for civil legal aid and have carried out civil work in the past year to take part in a telephone survey. Most surveys will take place during the working day. However, Progressive will schedule interviews for a time to suit individual solicitors.
SLAB would like to encourage as many solicitors as possible to take part. The more people who respond to the survey, the more useful and representative the findings will be.
They are especially interested in hearing from solicitors about their experiences of working or delivering services in rural areas of Scotland.
The survey will also cover supply and demand, how legal services might develop in the near future, barriers to effective provision and the use of communications and technology.
