Paralegals are encouraged to take the Law Society of Scotland's mental health survey, running this month

The Law Society of Scotland has launched a survey on mental health which is open to accredited and non-accredited paralegals, solicitors, legal technicians, and support staff working at law firms and in-house legal teams.

It will cover attitudes towards mental health as well as personal experiences, asking those working within the legal sector about mental health policies and training in their workplace, whether their organisation has a good understanding of the importance of staff mental health and wellbeing, and whether they would discuss mental health issues at work without fearing an adverse reaction from their manager or colleagues.

The anonymous, confidential survey will take about 15 minutes to complete and runs until 30 June. It can be accessed www.lawscot.org.uk/mentalhealthsurvey. The research findings will be used to guide the Society’s Lawscot Wellbeing work.
