2019 takes shape

Annual Conference 2019

Preparations are in full swing for our annual conference, to be held in the Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow on 18 April 2019. This will be a full day event, held on similar lines as before. Practice areas to be covered have yet to be finalised but will include conveyancing, debt recovery, private client and family law. It would be helpful if you could let us know what other practice areas you wish covered so that we can provide topics that are of interest to you.

As always, we have secured a number of eminent speakers, and the timetable is being completed as you read this. It will be available to view on the website before the conference.

We are delighted to confirm that our main sponsor will again be First Scottish Searching Services, and we are very pleased that Property Searches Scotland, the Coal Authority, Stewart Title, Estate Research, Blackadders and Lindsays are also sponsors.

Our conference is open to members and non-members, paralegals and solicitors and all those working in the legal sector.

Paralegal of the Year 2019

Our annual Paralegal of the Year competition is now open for entries. You can download an entry form from our website scottish-paralegal.org.uk, or if you prefer email [email protected] and a form will be forwarded to you.

Annual general meeting 2019

We are holding our annual general meeting in the Grand Central Hotel on 6 April 2019. Office bearers will be elected and our financial statement will be presented. Please come along at 1pm to meet us and hear what we have done during the last year and our proposals for the coming year. Another date for your diary: due to the success of the event in October 2018, we are holding an autumn conference, again in Dundee, on 19 September 2019. Full details will be issued in due course.
