The Scottish Paralegal Association aims to build on recent growth

At the time of going to print, we shall have hosted our Christmas Pie and Prosecco evenings in Glasgow and Edinburgh and we hope that you had the chance to join us. As most of you will know, the Scottish Paralegal Association has been holding CPD/networking events, hosted by some of our key partners, and these have been hugely successful. The last one was hosted by Central Law Training on 23 October in the Faculty Rooms in Glasgow. John Kerrigan gave a talk on s 29 of the Family Law (Scotland) Act 2006 dealing with the possible rights of succession of cohabitants on intestacy, which was very informative.

We are trying to cover as many domains as possible and if there is anything that you would like us to cover, please let us know. CLT has agreed to host an event every quarter and our other partners will do likewise. We have a wealth of speakers available to us so please let us know what you want to hear.

Please check the website for future CPD events throughout 2019.

As the Association grows, so does our social media presence. On our website is a section where you can raise questions, keep up to date with any coming events, and promote the interests of paralegals from all legal domains. We are also on Facebook and LinkedIn. If you have any questions you might like to broach, please contact [email protected], and someone will answer your query. Additionally, if there are any colleagues in your firm who might be interested in joining our Association, please also ask them to email that address.

As we are nearing the festive break, and winding down for Christmas, the Association would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and we once again would like to thank all our sponsors and speakers for their help and support throughout the year.
