Our people – our Council, committees and staff team – are critical to our success. We need to use their expertise and skills in the most effective way possible and help them to be proud ambassadors for the Law Society. The projects for 1 November 2018 – 31 October 2019, listed below, will set us up to EXCEL by operating as a world-class organisation.
We will celebrate the Law Society’s platinum anniversary, using this major milestone to showcase the contribution of Scottish solicitors over the last 70 years.
We will improve our processes for internal reporting to our Council, Board and committees by better using technology and automation.
We will achieve digital transformation on all our administrative processes by making use of digital technologies to streamline workflows and minimise the use of paper.
We will review the way in which we currently deal with interventions in legal firms, including judicial factors, to ensure our current approach is effective and efficient.
Annual plan 2018 - 19
Our annual plan for 1 November 2018 – 31 October 2019 includes 31 ambitious and exciting projects to help us to deliver our five strategic goals to ASSURE, SERVE, EXCEL, INFLUENCE and GROW.
