Our people – our Council, committees and staff team – are critical to our success. We need to use their expertise and skills in the most effective way possible and help them to be proud ambassadors for the Law Society. The projects for 1 November 2019 – 31 October 2020, listed below, will set us up to EXCEL by operating as a world-class organisation.
We will develop our finance and operations systems and team to improve the delivery of service excellence through use of customer feedback and technology, and to ensure decision records and information is readily available for our regulatory committees and sub committees.
We will improve our support to Council and Committee members and facilitate more efficient communication channels with other areas of governance.
We will benchmark and improve on our green credentials.
We will promote and support diversity, ensuring we are recognised as an inclusive workplace.
We will develop a new strategy for the next five years involving our members, our staff and other stakeholders. We will revisit our existing values and ensure they remain relevant and fit for purpose.
Annual plan 2019/20
Our annual plan for 1 November 2019 – 31 October 2020 includes 27 ambitious and exciting projects to help us to deliver our five strategic goals to ASSURE, SERVE, EXCEL, INFLUENCE and GROW.
